Established by a group of China studies scholars in October, 1994, Sinolink Foundation is a non-profit, independent (not associated with any political, religious, or special-interest groups) organization specializing in cultural and educational exchanges with China.  In February, 1995, it was granted tax-exemption status by U.S. Internal Revenue Service.  Currently, Sinolink Foundation has over 150 members with doctoral degrees or academic ranks of associate professorship or higher in the U.S. and China.

Over the past 17 years, Sinolink Foundation has sponsored or assisted over 100 Chinese students and scholars to pursue further training or research in the United States, jointly sponsored workshops and seminars on global and cultural issues, helped over 20 Chinese colleges and universities established academic exchange relationships with U.S. higher education institutions, held art exhibitions and concerts, and provided assistance to visiting Chinese delegations in various ways.  In the meantime, Sinolink Foundation also sponsored dozens of American scholars to teach, conduct research or attend international conferences in China, and recruited over 200 U.S. and Canadian citizens to teach English or do internships across China.
